Tomorrow there is a strike in defense of the public education in Spain, it is the first time that all the Unions are agree between themselves . THis post is not a politician post or a anti-goverment post, this post tries to generate debate. As I public teacher I am also a victim of the crisis but I wonder if there are other solutions before cutting the education budget. We have been investing on bilingual projects, and on new technologies for ours schools. My pupils use the internet on my curses, work with the new technologies and we discuss through the new technologies, also I teach in English-Spanish because my public school is a bilingual school. My pupils are been prepared for this world in a good way, not only leaning contains but also developing the necessary capacities that the labor market demands. And all of this is made in a public school of Córdoba, (I.E.S. Angel de Saavedra). How can we solve the crisis if the next generation doesn’t receive the best preparation. (Don’t lose the video)
Mañana hay una huelga en defensa de la educación pública en España, es la primera vez que todos los sindicatos se ponen de acuerdo entre ellos. Esta entrada no es una entrada sobre política o antigubernamental, esta entrada lo que pretende es generar debate. Como profesor de la enseñanza pública también soy víctima de esta crisis pero me pregunto si no habrá otras soluciones antes de cortar el presupuesto en educación. Hemos invertido en proyectos bilingües y en nuevas tecnologías para nuestras escuelas e institutos. Mis alumnos usan internet en clase, trabajan con las nuevas tecnologías y discuten a través de ellas, también enseñamos en Inglés porque mi instituto es un centro bilingüe. Mis alumnos se preparan para salir al mundo de un modo adecuado, no sólo aprendiendo contenidos sino también desarrollando las capacidades necesarias que requiere el mercado laboral. Y todo esto lo hacemos en un centro público de Córdoba (I.E.S. Angel de Saavedra) ¿Cómo podemos pensar en solucionar la crisis si la próxima generación no recibe la mejor preparación? YO estudié en la pública
Conocimiento del Medio Social y cultural 
a couple of days ago i saw a post which said that we wont get out of this crisis until we considered the education an inversion, not a waste of money. Im totally sure this crisis wont be over if the cuts are done in education. why is the government fighting against public education? wouldnt it be necessary to have free access to knowledgement? Im not sure at all, but this measure has lots of important points which are, in my opinion, a big error. Hope tomorrow strike changes this situation.
Muchos somos productos o productores de esta educación pública, con más o con menos recursos tenemos que seguir haciéndolo lo mejor que sepamos para que todos tengan el mismo nivel de acceso al aprendizaje, gracias por tu opinión
En mi opinión no se debería recortar en educación ni en sanidad. Si es tan urgente lo de recortar gastos se me ocurren muchas cosas por las que empezar antes de quitar dinero a la enseñanza y la sanidad, que son unos derechos tan básicos.
La enseñanza pública enseña a los niños a respetar lo que les den, porque no es suyo; les enseña la convivencia de distintas clases sociales o al menos gente con menor o mayor poder adquisitivo; les enseña también convivir con gente de distintas religiones o culturas (ya que las escuelas privadas o concertadas suelen ser católicas) y además los docentes de la pública están más preparados, según tengo entendido.
Aguantamos la reforma laboral, que abarataba el despido, aguantamos que la Iglesia no pague el IBI, que el rey se vaya de viaje con el dinero de los contribuyentes, pero no podemos dejar que recorten 10 millones en sanidad y educación, ¿hasta dónde va a llegar todo esto?
La enseñanza es nuestro futuro y un derecho, si quitan las becas y suben las matrículas habrá gente que no pueda pagarse unos estudios, ¿beneficia eso a España?, ¿acaso no es mejor para todos que los jóvenes españoles estén suficientemente preparados?
Sea como sea, con los medios que sea, se intentará estar lo mejor preparado posible, gracias KAtrin
«Juventud pre-parada»
Ese es el miedo que sienten muchos padres al ver como la enseñanza pública de calidad de la que estamos gozando se tambalea. Hay más gastos que ingresos, y el gobierno opta por la vía de los recortes, pero personalmente no en el camino adecuado, no podemos recortar en educación porque por mucho que oigamos la palabra «gastos educativos» no son gastos, es una inversión para el futuro. Es formar a las personas que poblarán y dirigirán el futuro de un país.
Cada vez más me da la sensación de que de tanto recortar al final ahogamos al perro. O sea, en vez de ayudar a la economía los recortes harán que la economía sea cada día peor, si vamos recortando cada viernes, ¿ qué va a crecer ?
Como ejemplo está el triste ejemplo griego, sus medidas de austeridad impuestas por Europa en vez de paliar la crisis han sumido al país en una crisis aun mayor que según «expertos economistas» no la superarán hasta 2040.

I support public school, I agree with the things that they say in the video. I think it’s necessary a public school, where there will be a lot of advantages, where you will find all diferent types of people, and you won’t be different because of your money.
So you can’t justify the «cuttings» in education. It’s something indispensable! A public school shouldn’t have so many problems to pay necessary things. I’m sure there are lots of less important things that you can cut instead of education.
I support public school, and I agree with the things they say in the video. I think it’s something necessary, and you get lots of advantages. Advances in technology, an education of quality, diversity of people, and you won’t be definited because of your money.
That’s why they shouldn’t make so many cuttings on this. Education is something indispensable, we can’t be at a school that have so many problems to pay necessary things.

Es indignante que el gobierno recorte siempre en educación existiendo otros sectores que a mi parecer son menos importantes porque si hoy día no damos una buena educación a los jóvenes que van a ser la futura mano de obra española, ¿Cómo prentendemos salir de la crisis? La educación para mi personalmente es el sector mas importante que existe, ya que forma a la sociedad como persona, a nivel académico y refuerza la integridad social.
Soluciones posibles, no las encuentro la verdad, pero no creo que esta sea la mas correcta.
I have been studying in public schools all my life and of course I’m against cuts in it. I think the division of education at public and private doesn’t divide us in a better education (private education) and worst (public education) is a division in education for the rich and education for other people and of course no one can hurt the rich because they have more money … I agree that some have commented here, cut in education is to cut for a better future as these cuts affect us students who are the ones in the future we will have to keep the country, is a big mistake to harm us.
Un país como el nuestro no debe permitir los recortes en educación ya que esta es un derecho y su limitación provocará que los jóvenes españoles tengan más dificultades para enfrentarse al futuro. Los jóvenes de un país son el futuro del mismo, por lo que debemos procurar que su formación sea óptima para que formen un futuro prospero. Si disminuimos el gasto en preparación de nuestros jóvenes el país estará cada vez peor. Esta medida para salir de la crisis hará que a largo plazo España se empobrezca.
If Spain hasn’t got money I think it isn’t a good idea to reduce in education because we are the future of Spain and we must been prepared, they must reduce in other things.
I think public education is as good as private education because the teachers of the public schools are prepared to teach us as the private schools.
A little part of the marks and knowledges depends of the school but the mayority part depends of the student,if he o she really want to study and do his/her homeworks, if a person doesn’t want to study the person isn’t going to study in a private school or in a public school.
Las week has been a general strick the reason is the cuts in education and I think is good to go to the demonstration but isn’t good to stay in our houses sleeping and don’t go to class.
If you aren’t agree with the reduces you go to the demonstration.
I didn’t go because I had exams and I can’t lose class because if i lose it them I’m not going to realize of nothing.
pienso que no deberian privatizar la escuela publica ya que solo podria estudiar un grupo reducido de personas y habria mas diferencias entre la sociedad. tambien creo que no deberian de criticarla tanto ya que nuestros profesores estan mejor preparados que los de la escuela publica, si recortan la educacion empeorara el pais.
