This new academic year may be a good time to start to recover the dignity of education in our classrooms. We have to adapt the education system and how we teach new learning models for our students. Teaching should be a calling and a professional exercise and both must be recognized by society, by the parents of our students, for our students and for anyone who demonstrate a concern for the future.
So I decided to start the battle to regain the dignity with my students, so they are the ones who take home the idea of how important and valuable it is their own education. Can I make it or not but I will not stop trying because that’s my job.
Este nuevo año académico puede ser un buen momento para empezar a recuperar la dignidad de la educación en nuestras aulas. Tenemos que adaptar el sistema educativo y nuestra manera de enseñar a los nuevos modelos de aprendizaje de nuestros alumnos. Enseñar debe de ser una vocación y un ejercicio de profesionalidad y ambas cosas tiene que estar reconocidas por la sociedad, por los padres de nuestros alumnos, por nuestros alumnos y por cualquiera que demuestre una preocupación por el futuro.
Por eso he decidio empezar la batalla por recuperar la dignidad con mis alumnos, para que ellos sean los que lleven a sus casas la idea de lo importante y valiosa que es su propia educación. Puede que lo consiga o no pero no dejaré de intentarlo porque ese es mi trabajo.
